Autre parution du label norvégien 2L à ne pas manquer et intitulée, "Of Innocence and Experience" en référence au peintre et poète William Blake pour son oeuvre "Songs of innocence and of Experience", mettant en avant la dualité éternelle entre la lumière et les ténèbres, la vie et la mort, la pureté de l’ange et la passion démoniaque. Le pianiste Kristian Ofstad Lindberg illustre parfaitement cette inspiration avec les oeuvres célèbres suivantes, "Sonate en si mineur" S.178 de Franz Liszt, "Kinderszenen" Op.15 de Robert Schumann et la "Sonate pour piano N°23" Op.57 "Appassionata" de Ludwig van Beethoven. De bout en bout des pièces abordées, l’engagement pianistique de Kristian Ofstad Lindberg est total. Son discours musical est d’une exemplarité souveraine, si bien que l’on se demande pourquoi un tel artiste ne bénéficie pas d’une notoriété plus grande. Il est vrai que, de nos jours, les projecteurs son braqués sur nombre de pianistes qui ne le sont qu’à moitié, oublieux du style et de l’expression, hélas! Bref, pour en découvrir un vrai, ce SACD est une véritable aubaine.

Here is another release from the Norwegian label 2L that is not to be missed. Intitled “Of Innocence and Experience” in reference to the painter and poet William Blake for his work “Songs of Innocence and of Experience,” it places before us the eternal duality between light and darkness, life and death, the purity of the angel and demonic passion. The pianist Kristian Ofstad Lindberg perfectly illustrates this inspiration with the following famous works, “Sonata in B minor” S.178 by Franz Liszt, “Kinderszenen” Op.15 by Robert Schumann, and the “Sonata for Piano Nº23” Op.57 “Appassionata” by Ludwig van Beethoven. From beginning to end of the pieces played, the pianistic engagement of Kristian Ofstad Lindberg is total. His musical discourse is of sovereign exemplarity. So much so that one must ask why such an artist doesn’t benefit from greater notoriety. It is true that nowadays the projectors spotlight numerous pianists who are half-hearted, forgetful of style and expression, unfortunately! In short, to discover a true artist, this SACD is a veritable godsend.
