Cette première parution de l’année 2015 signée du label Alia Vox, propose un enregistrement audio datant de 2003 et une captation vidéo de 2013. Côté audio, le programme se partage deux œuvres chorales, le Magnificat en sol mineur RV 610 d’Antonio Vivaldi ainsi que celui en ré majeur BWV 243 de Jean-Sébastien Bach, et deux œuvres instrumentales, Le Concerto pour deux violons et viole de gambe en sol mineur RV 578 du compositeur italien, et le Concerto pour clavecin en ré mineur BWV 1052 du cantor de Leipzig. Côté vidéo, nous retrouvons les deux Magnificat ainsi que le Concerto BWV 1052. « Quand j’aborde le travail d’étude et d’interprétation d’œuvres de la magnitude créative et artistique des Concerti et de ces Magnificat de Vivaldi et de Bach, je suis immédiatement aussi émerveillé et fasciné que l’étais Stefan Zweig dans son texte sur « Le Mystère de la Création ». Jordi Savall souligne ici un des points essentiels de l’inspiration. Cette dernière se retrouve dans chaque instant des partitions abordées que les musiciens, présents lors de ces enregistrements, partagent avec une passion musicale communicative. Bref, un SACD/DVD des grands jours pour bien commencer l’année.

This first release of the year 2015 by the label Alia Vox proposes an audio recording dating from 2003 and a video dating from 2013. On the audio side, the program is divided between two choral works, the Magnificat in G minor RV 610 by Antonio Vivaldi as well as the one in D major BWV 243 by Jean-Sebastian Bach, and two instrumental works, the Concerto for Two Violins and Bass Viol in G minor RV 578 by the Italian composer and the Concerto for Keyboard in D minor BWV 1052 by the Leipzig cantor. On the video side, we can view the two Magnificat as well as the Concerto BWV 1052. “When I start studying and interpreting works of the creative and artistic magnitude of the Concerti and of these Magnicat by Vivaldi and Bach, I am immediately as amazed and fascinated by them as was Stefan Zweig in his text on “The Mystery of Creation.” Jordi Savall here underlines one of the essential points of their inspiration, which is to be found in each moment of the scores and which the musicians present for these recordings share with a musical passion that is infectious. In short, here is an exceptional SACD/DVD to ring in the new year.
