Voici, en deux SACD stéréo, une somme musicale incontournable, dédiée au compositeur russe Igor Strawinsky, dans des interprétations magistrales, magnifiées par un remastering DSD exemplaire. Ces bandes analogiques issues de concerts datant de 1970, 1971, 1980, 1983 et 1987 trouvent ici une nouvelle jeunesse. Au programme donc l’intégralité du Ballet « L’Oiseau de Feu » de 1910 avec l’Orchestre Philharmonique Tchèque dirigé par Vaclav Neumann, la « Symphonie en ut » de 1940, avec le même orchestre dirigé par Christoph von Dohnannyi, « Les Noces » avec Brigita Sulcova (soprano), Miroslav Svejda (ténor), Anna Barova (mezzo-soprano) et Dalibor Jedlicka (basse), ainsi que les pianistes Zdenek Jilek, Petr Adamec, Jiri Holema et Stanislav Bogunia. Zdenek Kosler dirige l’Orchestre Symphonique de la Radio de Prague. La suite instrumentale de « L’Histoire du Soldat » est ici interprétée par le Boston Symphony Chamber Players, alors que le Tokyo String Quartet nous offre les « Trois Pièces pour Quatuors à Cordes » de 1914, ainsi que le « Concertino pour Quatuor à Cordes » datant de 1920. Ce copieux programme s’achève par « Trois Lieder d’après Shakespeare » pour mezzo-soprano, alto, flûte et clarinette, avec Milada Boublikova et les membres de Musica Nova Pagensis. Une parution essentielle à ne pas manquer.
