Au regard de ce nouveau SACD, on mesure la richesse éditorial du label suédois qui, depuis des décennies, renouvelle avec brio sa passion pour la musique, loin des cadres formatés du marketing et autre star system frelaté. Aujourd’hui, l’entreprise de Richard von Bahr mériterait amplement le prix du meilleur label de sa catégorie, lui qui déclarait au magazine en ligne Res Musica « Mon intérêt personnel me porte vers la musique contemporaine, il est très important pour moi d’encourager et de diffuser la musique d’aujourd’hui. Si l’on n’aide pas les compositeurs, ils n’ont aucune chance d’être entendus dans le monde médiatique que nous avons maintenant ». En voici donc un bel exemple avec le programme concocté pour cet enregistrement dans lequel brille le talent du trompettiste Hakan Hardenberger. Betsy Jolas (née en 1926) avec « Histoires Vraies » Suite concertante pour piano, trompette et orchestre datant de 2015, avec le pianiste Roger Muraro et le Malmö Symphony Orchestra que dirige Martyn Brabbins, Sally Beamish (née en 1956) avec son « Concerto pour trompette » de 2003, joué par le National Youth Orchestra of Scotland, et Olga Neuwirth (née en 1968) avec «….miramondo multiplo… » pour trompette et orchestre de 2006, avec également le Malmö Symphony Orchestra et toujours sous la direction de Martyn Brabbins. Trois compositrices donc, pour trois œuvres de musique contemporaine inspirées. A saisir comme une aubaine des plus rares.

Insofar as this new SACD, one can appreciate the editorial richness of the Swedish label which, for decades, has renewed with brio its passion for music that is far from the formatted framework of marketing and the adulterated star system. Today, Richard von Bahr’s enterprise would amply merit the prize of the best label in its category, he who declared to the online magazine Res Musica: “My personal interest leads me to contemporary music, it is very important for me to encourage and release today’s music. If one doesn’t help composers, they have no chance of being heard in the mediacentric world we have now.” And here is a great example with a program concocted for this recording in which the talent of trumpetist Hakan Hardenberger shines. Three composers for three works of inspired contemporary music. Grab hold of it like a rare godsend.
