Avec un programme judicieux de seize pièces, il invite à découvrir ou redécouvrir des partitions musicales transcendées par le son envoûtant de la Mandoline. Claude Bolling et son « Concertino Encore » pour Mandoline et orchestre à cordes, ainsi que « Tango » pour alto et orchestre à cordes, et le célèbre « Borsalino » pour banjo et violoncelle sont au rendez-vous. Vladimir Cosma est présent également avec six de ses vingt-quatre « Caprices pour Mandoline », tout comme Ennio Morricone avec sa « Sérénade passacaille » pour Mandoline et Quatuor à cordes, ainsi que « Cinéma Paradiso » pour Mandoline.
