Le compositeur américain, Aaron Copland est au piano pour son concerto de 1926 avec l’Orchestre Philharmonique de New York que dirige Leonard Bernstein. « El Salon Mexico » datant de 1936 avec l’Orchestre Symphonique de l’Utah dirigé par Maurice Abravanel précède le célèbre « Appalachian Spring » sous la direction du grand Antal Dorati avec le London Symphony orchestra. Et pour finir ce programme généreux, nous avons droit à l’intégralité des « Old American Songs » datant de 1950-1952 avec le baryton William Warfield et le Columbia Symphony que dirige le compositeur. This is one of the greatest SACDs of all time that needs to be heard.
