Avec ce volume N°41, l’entreprise japonaise consacrée aux cantates se poursuit en se penchant, cette fois, sur les œuvres dans lesquelles apparaissent des chanteurs solistes « Solo Cantatas ». Quatre Cantates sont au programme : « Je veux bien porter la croix » BWV 56 pour voix de basse solo, « J’en ai assez » BWV 82 qui, à l’origine fut conçue pour voix de basse, mais que Bach modifia en 1731 pour voix de soprano soliste, « Que la paix soit avec toi » BWV 158 pour voix de basse également, et « Je suis réjoui en mon bonheur » BWV 84 qui, selon Edmond Lemaitre « étonne par la simplicité de son effectif et de son organisation qui la font ressembler, en excluant le choral, à une cantate de chambre italienne ». Carolyn Sampson (soprano) et Peter Kooij (basse) se partagent les œuvres avec un bonheur de chaque instant. Masaaki et son orchestre sont également au diapason d’un équilibre précieux dans lequel la musique chante aussi bien que les voix pour un message humain d’une profondeur éternelle. Un grand cru…

With this volume N° 41 the Japanese releases of the contatas continues, here devoted to works in which the singers of the Solo Cantatas can be heard. Four Cantatas are on the program: "Ich will den Kreuzstab gerne tragen" BWV 56 for basse solo, "Ich habe genug" BWV 82 which was first conceived for basse but which Bach modified in 1731 for soprano solo, "Der Fried sei mit dire" BWV 158 also for basse, and "Ich bin vergnugt mit meinem Glucke" BWV 84 which, according to Edmond Lemaitre, "is surprising because of the relatively small number of participants and for its organization which makes it ressemble, by excluding the chorus, an Italian chamber cantata." Carolyn Sampson (soparano) and Peter Kooij (basse) share the singing with glee at all times.
